Recognizing that this season has less opportunity for face to face ministry, due to general standoffishness exacerbated by pandemic concerns, we’re looking at ways to enhance our witness effectiveness.
Would you believe that it’s now the 14th year since I arrived in Japan as a full-time missionary?
Last year I was able to attend a biblical counseling class at a seminary in Nagoya, which was very helpful. I also love reading in a wide swathe of theological and ministry topics, and now we’re looking at trying to add something that can be done online in a more formal setting, alongside ministry. If any of you have used this kind of format for theological training, please let me know your experience or recommendations!
Maki and I are also working through some materials written in Japanese to use in discipleship/Christianity introductions with contacts, those have been good too.
Maki is even considering if any Japanese licenses such as childcare or food preparation that could help with outreach ministries.
Please pray for direction as we seek to stay fresh in ministry, and most effective in our disciple-making endeavors.
